The Beginning of History
This is how our story begin, founded in 1976 by Mr. Hady Karyono, Borwita started its business in pharmaceutical distribution based in Surabaya.
PT. Borwita Citra Prima was first established at Jalan Kunir No. 9 Surabaya, which became the first store to distribute pharmaceutical products in Surabaya, East Java
– 1988
Started to Sell P&G Product
As time went on, the company’s business grew rapidly, and in 1988, Borwita began distributing products from P&G (Procter & Gamble) principals, which sold fast moving consumer goods products.
– 1993
The Sole Distributor of P&G and Gillette
After successfully distributing P&G products, PT. Borwita Citra Prima continuing business strategy to became the sole distributor of products from the principal Gillette which became familiar brand now in Indonesia.
– 1995
Focused on Distributing FMCG Products
In 1995, PT. Borwita Citra Prima shifted its focus to become a distributor in the FMCG sector and became an independent FMCG distributor. Not only that, in this year, Borwita also opened its first branch outside Java, which is Bali.
– 2003
Opening Branches Outside of Java
After years, Borwita expand its branches outside of Java in 2003. Based on the company’s business grew, PT. Borwita Citra Prima expand branches in East Java, Bali, Lombok, East Nusa Tenggara, and Sulawesi.
– 2005
Ceres Joined
After successfully grew our business with distributing FMCG Products, in 2005, Ceres has joined become our principal and distributing their product in our coverage areas.
– 2008
Sunco Joined & Start Coverage Expansion
With the aim of attracting more consumers, PT. Borwita Citra Prima expanded further into a wider area. This included the expansion of sales offices to facilitate deeper market penetration. At the same time, Sunco from Megasurya Mas joined as a principal of PT. Borwita Citra Prima.
– 2014
Borwita Logistic Established
Realizing that the business was growing rapidly, PT. Borwita Citra Prima established a third-party logistics service, Borwita Logistic.
– 2016
Nutrifood Joined
Nutrifood with the products of food & beverages joined as our principal to distribute their products to all of our coverage areas.
– 2017
Siantar Top Joined & Expanded in Central Java
Siantar TOP has joined PT. Borwita Citra Prima as our principal, in the same year we expanded our branch office in Central Java with 33 branch offices and depot office.
– 2018
Philips Signify Joined, Collab with Bukalapak, and Orbiz Established
A year later, PT. Borwita Citra Prima opened the opportunity to collaborate with Bukalapak in the e-commerce sector. In the same year, Orbiz was established as part of PT. Borwita Indah to serve as an e-commerce enabler. Then, Philips Signify joined as our new principal.
– 2019
Expanse to West Java and East Jakarta, Reckitt Benckiser
Our journey continues; in 2019, we expanded to the West Java and Jakarta areas. In the same year, Reckitt Benckiser joined PT. Borwita Citra Prima as our new principal.
– 2020
Expansion of electrical products and Reckitt Benckiser
Due to PT. Borwita Citra Prima’s rapid distribution of electrical products, in 2020 we expanded to a wider area, including Surabaya, Madiun, and Jember, as well as Reckitt Benckiser products in East Java.
– 2022
Scheneider, Versuni, and Unifam Joined
In 2022, PT. Borwita Citra Prima gained trust from other principals with various product focuses that are market leaders in Indonesia, which are Schneider, Versuni, and Unifam.
– 2024
Cimory Joined
After successfully in Food and beverages distribution products, PT. Borwita Citra Prima gain more trusted from another principal, Cimory. In 2024, Cimory trusted Borwita Citra Prima in distributing their products for Makassar and Gorontalo area.
– Today
PT. Borwita Citra Prima continues to expand its business network both in direct coverage areas and indirect areas. The development of human resources and services to the company’s stakeholders remain a priority for PT. Borwita Citra Prima in company’s growth.
