Our story began in 1976, when Mr. Hady Karyono founded Borwita in Surabaya, East Java, marking the company’s first step into pharmaceutical distribution
The journey started with the establishment of PT Borwita Indah, headquartered on Jalan Kunir No. 9, Surabaya — laying the foundation for what would later evolve into one of Indonesia’s leading distribution and logistics groups.

– 1988
Started to sell Consumer Goods products
In 1988, as the company continued to grow steadily, Borwita expanded its portfolio by partnering with Procter & Gamble (P&G), one of the world’s leading fast-moving consumer goods companies.

– 1993
The Sole Distributor of P&G and Gillette in East Java
Building on the success of this collaboration, Borwita strengthened its strategic position by becoming the exclusive distributor of Gillette products in East Java, further solidifying its reputation as a trusted distribution partner for global brands in Indonesia.

– 1995
Focusing on Distributing Consumer Goods Products
In 1995, PT Borwita Citra Prima was established with a strategic focus on the consumer goods sector. In the same year, the company expanded its footprint beyond Java by opening its first branch in Bali.

– 2003
Opening Branches Outside of Java Bali
In 2003, Borwita expanded its footprint beyond Java, establishing branches across East Java, Bali, Lombok, East Nusa Tenggara, and the entire island of Sulawesi.

– 2014
Borwita Logistic Established
Building on its strong logistics expertise and extensive national network, PT Borwita Citra Prima established Borwita Logistic (PT Borwita Putra Prima and PT Tepat Jaya Logistic) as part of its strategy to expand into third-party logistics services. This initiative reinforces Borwita’s commitment to operational excellence and strengthens its position as an integrated distribution and logistics group.

– 2017
Bowita expanded to Central Java
Borwita strengthened its presence in Central Java by opening 33 branches and depots within 30 days, demonstrating strong execution and operational excellence. The company expanded its network to 121 branches and a workforce of over 3,000 employees nationwide.

– 2018
Expanded product category into consumer electronics; Orbiz was established
Borwita’s business continued to expand, diversifying into the consumer electronics sector through a new partnership with Philips Signify. In the same year, Borwita strengthened its digital capabilities by establishing Orbiz, an end-to-end e-commerce enabler designed to support brand growth in the digital marketplace.

– 2019
Borwita expanded to West Java and Jakarta
Borwita achieved a significant milestone by expanding its operations to West Java and Jakarta, establishing 30 branches and achieving full operational readiness within just one month.
In the same year, the company embarked on an ambitious five-year strategic plan (2020–2025), marking the beginning of a transformative journey to strengthen its competitiveness, accelerate innovation, and position the Group for sustainable growth.

– 2025
Expanded to South Sumatra; Established Sentia
Borwita expanded its operations to South Sumatra, establishing a presence in Palembang and Bengkulu. In the same year, the company diversified its business portfolio by founding Sentia, an information technology applications and services company.

– 2026 and beyond
