#BorwitaCare Initiative for a Healthier Workforce

Event

Productivity starts with something simple yet vital: knowing how your body is doing today. Many people become so focused on their daily tasks that they overlook signs of fatigue, stress, or early symptoms of illness. Recognizing the importance of prevention and early detection, Borwita Citra Prima, a leading FMCG Distributor in Indonesia, launched a dedicated health program under the campaign #BorwitaCare: Health Comes First.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity are on the rise among working-age individuals. The root causes often stem from sedentary lifestyles and the lack of regular health check-ups.

Early signs like:

  • constant fatigue,
  • frequent headaches,
  • blurry vision, or
  • rapid weight gain
are often ignored until they become more serious.

Borwita believes that productivity goes hand in hand with physical and mental well-being. That’s why the company focuses not just on performance, but also on ensuring every employee is supported in living a healthy life.

Introducing #BorwitaCare: Health Comes First

To demonstrate this commitment, Borwita launched Phase I of its 2025 Medical Check-Up Program, as part of the ongoing #BorwitaCare campaign. The initiative targets all employees, aiming to:

  • raise health awareness,
  • detect early signs of illness,
  • and make access to basic health services easier.

What services were provided?

This round of check-ups included:

  • Eye screening
  • Body weight and waist circumference measurements
  • Blood sugar and blood pressure checks
  • Free one-on-one consultations with medical professionals

The entire program was made possible with the support of our trusted medical partner: Puskesmas Taman, Sidoarjo.

The response from employees was overwhelmingly positive. Many expressed their appreciation for having access to healthcare services directly at the workplace—no time off or long queues needed.

“I usually postpone doctor visits due to work. But this time, I could check my health without leaving the office. Thank you, Borwita,” shared one participant.

In cases where health concerns were identified, employees were also given official referrals for further examination at their local health center.

This is just the beginning. The medical check-up program will continue in several phases to ensure more employees can benefit from it. A follow-up system is also in place to monitor employees who require additional care or referrals.

As a trusted FMCG Distributor in Indonesia, Borwita continues to invest not only in business growth but also in creating a work environment where employee wellness is prioritized. The #BorwitaCare campaign is a clear reflection of our ongoing commitment to health, safety, and overall well-being.
