Amidst an increasingly fast work rhythm, maintaining a healthy diet often becomes a distinct challenge for employees. Long working hours, high mobility, dynamic targets, and the habit of eating in a rush make many people no longer truly listen to their own body’s signals.
The World Health Organization (WHO) asserts that an unbalanced diet can increase the risk of various health problems, ranging from chronic fatigue to metabolic diseases in the long term.
Similarly, the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health mentions that portion control, food quality, and consistency in meal times play a major role in maintaining energy and focus throughout the workday.
This issue becomes increasingly relevant in high-activity work environments, such as in the Indonesian FMCG Distribution industry, where field employees and operational teams are required to always be alert, focused, and possess excellent stamina.
Employee Life: Between Targets, Mobility, and Eating Habits
In an employee’s daily life, eating is often no longer about the body’s needs, but merely a pause between meetings, travel, or operational targets. Not infrequently, eating is done because it is “time to eat,” not because of genuine hunger, or conversely, involves overeating as a response to stress.
This condition can directly impact work performance. A body that lacks energy or, conversely, is burdened by unbalanced intake will affect concentration, mood, and productivity. Therefore, an understanding of the difference between physical hunger and emotional hunger, portion control, and a healthy diet mindset becomes important to implement realistically in the professional world.
Borwita’s Commitment to Supporting Employee Health

As a growing Indonesian Distribution company, Borwita believes that sustainable performance begins with healthy people, both physically and mentally. This commitment is realized not only through work systems and corporate culture but also through learning spaces relevant to employee needs.
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, Borwita once again held a Public Training Health Series titled: “Diet Happy, Body Healthy! The Right Eating Habits are the Key to a Healthy Body.”
This training was guided by Ruthy, S.Gz., RD, a Nutritionist from RSUP Nasional Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, who invited participants to understand that a diet does not have to be torturous; rather, it can be undertaken consciously, balanced, and sustainably.
From Mindset to Daily Practice
In this session, participants were invited to rebuild their mindset regarding diet, understand types of hunger, and learn simple ways to manage food portions based on hand measurements. This approach makes the material feel close to work reality, easy to apply at the office, during business trips, or amidst a busy schedule.
The discussion was active, with various questions regarding eating habits, the challenges of maintaining a healthy lifestyle amidst work, and tips for realistic consistency.
Small Steps Toward Healthier Performance
Through the Public Training Health Series, Borwita hopes to continue being a shared learning space that encourages awareness of the importance of health as a foundation for productivity. For Borwita, business growth goes hand in hand with the growth of the quality of life of the people within it.
With a healthier body, maintained focus, and balanced energy, every employee can fulfill their role more optimally, today and in the future.
